Implemented Commiss.io Response
Admitedly the reality is a bit more complicated than this but TL:DR; is that donations are essentially illegal in my country, so not being able to disable the Leave a Tip-button on my page is kind of unfortunare.

I fully acknowledge this feature is not something most artist here want or need (I probably am the only one who wants the option), but the fact is that I could end up in serious trouble over tips/donations, so when it comes to either having to ask each and every one of my clients to not leave me a tip or being able to just disable the tipping feature altogether, I would much prefer the latter option.

So yeah, if we gained the option to disable the Leave a Tip-button, it would be fantastic, thank you 馃檹鉂わ笍

Commiss.io Response
Update May 31, 2019: Sorry for the delay on this! We've implemented this feature and you can disable tips in your Creator Settings, as needed. https://commiss.io/creators

We'll work to implement this ASAP given the sensitivity here. Please see comment for additional questions. Thanks!聽

Sorry to barge in! If you un-check the "Enable pay what you want" option below your price after placing your exact amount, does that still not work/are they still able to tip?

I do have the Pay What You Want-option disabled on all of my listings, so nobody should be able to tip on through projects, however the Leave a Tip-button is still usable on my profile page and I have no idea how to disable it if it's even possible to disable. (I mean for all I know the option could exist but I just can't find it for the life of me lol)

Hi!聽

Thanks for letting us know about this. I did some research and agree we should add this feature for folks who need to disable this option.聽

Out of curiosity, are you still allowed to accept tips directly related to a project? Is this something you would still want? If so we can make sure those tips are attributed to a specific project (i.e this tip was directly related to Project XYZ) in your reporting. Otherwise we can disable the feature altogether, as well.聽

Okay so where I live we don't really have the same kind of tipping culture most other Western countries have. Accepting money for doing/giving nothing in return is not legal (with the exception of legally approved fundraisers which you need permission for), but technically speaking people working in the service industry (so waitresses) can accept tips for their services; a tip is a bonus for doing a good job.
聽 聽So based on that in theory it should be legal for me to accept tips from a commissioner, however I'm not entirely sure if artists can accept tips because usually tipping is associated with waitresses and, like I mentioned, we don't tip our waitresses to begin with. So, yeah, in theory it should be okay if it's a bonus, but random donations for nothing are absolutely not okay.
聽 聽Also while I haven't delved into it, taxation for tips seems scary and complicated.

So, yeah, the project-tips should be okay, but I don't think adding the option to turn those off would hurt anyone.

Thank you for hearing me out 馃檹鉂わ笍鉂わ笍鉂わ笍聽
