Cancellation Policies for Custom Projects

Commiss.io allows creators to choose among a number of standardized cancellation policies that we enforce to protect both creators and clients. This ensures that creators can modify their cancellation policies based on the factors that impact them as a creator. Clients may always cancel without penalty until the creator is ready to begin work.

Creators collecting payment information at the end of projects do not charge cancellation fees.

Flexible: Minimum Cancellation Fees

Ideal for most everyday projects.

Before Start

Clients are never charged until a creator is ready to begin work. If either party needs to cancel before work begins, it's no problem!

During Project

If the client needs to cancel after work has begun, but before final assets are submitted, they will be charged a 25% cancellation fee by default.

Final Assets Submitted

If the client needs to cancel after the creator has submitted final assets, they will be charged a 50% cancellation fee by default. After the project's final assets have been approved, refunds will only be issued in special circumstances.

Moderate: Medium Cancellation Fees

Ideal when creators need to expend extra effort to compensate for a cancellation.

If the client needs to cancel after work has begun, but before final assets are submitted, they will be charged a 50% cancellation fee by default.

Final Assets Submitted

If the client needs to cancel after the creator has submitted final assets, they will be charged a 75% cancellation fee by default. After the project's final assets have been approved, refunds will only be issued in special circumstances.

Strict: No Refund

Ideal when circumstances require the creator to purchase resources in advance to complete the project.

Refund Policy for All Other Transactions

Commiss.io offers a limited refund policy for purchasers of digital content or any other transaction. In general, you may request a refund within 5 days by contacting our staff via email, the support portal or by using tools on the site.
