Hi! Thank you for considering me for a commission! Here are a few quick notes to make things go a lot more smoothly for everyone:
-
Keep the Template in mind! - a Template is provided for you when you open a new project with me. I've laid this out as best as I can to simplify requests so that they're easier to follow with minimal confusion between you and me. You don't have to follow the template, but it'd make things a lot better for both of us if you do!
-
Be aware of Source limitations! - Animation & some of the Render commissions are created using a dated software called Source Filmmaker. It has as many cons as it does pros, but it's the software that I'm most experienced in. Source Filmmaker tends to run into very random and annoying issues frequently, though I thankfully have learned many workarounds for most of these problems over the years. Do keep in mind that working in SFM means that custom characters are a no-go, and that models you may choose for your project may not have as much customization options as you want (i.e. some models may have options to remove clothing, others will not and it's completely out of my control.)
-
Manners Maketh Man! - Don't be d*ck. I enjoy making art and chatting with people, and I try my best to get work completed on time. But my typical commission rounds over the past year have involved working on at least 7 projects at a time minimum across making animations and still renders. If you have any issues, I will gladly listen and do whatever is in my power to help. But if you can't behave, we won't be working together.
-
Keep an eye on the listing details! - I will provide a list of characters that I'm currently working with that I have tested for animation. This just means that any characters I list are models that are fully prepared for using in scenes (minimal rigging issues, lots of customization etc.) If there isn't a list of specified characters, then feel free to take a look through the Steam Workshop or SFMLab for models as they are my main source of resources for Source Filmmaker.
-
Weirdos out! - Yeah, the size artist is calling someone a weirdo. I know. But this is just for specifics. I WILL NOT create content for you that involves any of the following:
- Scat/Vomit
- Underage characters
- Politically themed artwork
Anything outside of these four specifications are fine, or at the very least are open to debate.
Thank you for taking the time to read through these notes! I look forward to hearing from you.
